CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that Ola scooter production will start soon

CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that Ola scooter production will soon start at its factory in Tamil Nadu.

“Almost here! Ola Scooter production is coming soon! Join the waiting list and #JOINTHEREVOLUTION,” Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal wrote on Twitter.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal also shared a video showcasing the progress in the construction of the factory.

Last month, Bhavish stated that the first phase of the Ola electric scooter factory is about to be completed. Last year, Ola announced an investment of 2,400 crores to build their first electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu.

After completion, the plant will create nearly 10,000 jobs and will become the world’s largest roller manufacturing plant, with an initial annual production capacity of 2 million units.

Although the company has not announced the prices and specifications of its partners, Ola is developing a “supercharging network” that will include charging points in 400 cities.

CEO Bhavish Aggarwal recently shared a video of himself on an OLA scooter while driving near Bangalore.

The management has previously stated that the escort car is expected to be launched in India in July, and Ola Electric will consider introducing the car to the international market this fiscal year, including countries such as France, Italy, and Germany.

The launch of electric scooters is in line with Ola’s global vision to bring mobility into a more sustainable, convenient, and connected future.

Ola Electric also acquired Amsterdam-based Etergo BV last year for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition of Etergo aims to further strengthen its engineering and design skills in the field of electric vehicles.

After its launch, Ola’s electric scooters will be supported by Hero MotoCorpback to counter companies such as Ather Energy and Bajaj Auto.

In June of last week, Aggarwal announced that the first phase of its electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu was about to be completed, saying that the factory had been “completely transformed from a few acres of empty rocky land to the world’s largest 2W factory.”

Ola’s new electric scooter will be equipped with ergonomic seats. The company also stated that the scooter will have an “excellent turn.” The scooter will also provide “the best acceleration in its class”.

The other part that the company needs most is the luggage compartment. Equipped with “the largest cargo space among similar products”.

Ola Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that it will produce more than 10 million Ola scooters each year, which is the most advanced, with more than 3,000 artificial intelligence robots, and the most environmentally friendly, with more than 100 acres of woodland.
