The BE 6 from Mahindra & Mahindra was introduced in the Indian market in November 2024 and available for sale. As of now, it is available in multiple variants with two different battery packs whose ex-showroom prices range from ₹18.90 lakh to ₹28.49 lakh. 

The Mahindra BE 6 is based on the INGLO platform and features a radical coupe SUV body. It is designed for enthusiasts and urban professionals. Its key rivals in India are the Maruti e-Vitara, Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3.

455L Boot Space 

The BE 6 is available with a seating capacity of five people, which comes with a layout of two and three. Its length is 4,371 mm, width is 1,907 mm and height is 1,627 mm. These measurements make it a large SUV compared to others in the segment.

It has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm that is quite long and gives ample legroom for rear-seating individuals and a ground clearance of 207 mm, which is good for Indian road conditions. It features a boot space of 455 litres and a frunk (front trunk storage) of 45 litres.

19-Inch Alloy Wheels 

The BE is available in four colour options that are Stardust Grey, Viridian Blue, Lunar White and Stealth Black. Up front, there's a closed-off grill giving a modern look; it features C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), modern headlights, and a functional hood.

On the sides, it features a coupé-like sloping roofline featuring a sporty look. Get 19-inch aero wheels with a modern design to improve aerodynamics that help with better efficiency. The handles of the entry doors are flush-type, which adds to the premium look.

The taillamps at the rear are in a C-shape that mirrors the front lighting signature and give it a distinct styling at nighttime. On the back, there are two spoilers on the roof which add sportiness. The diffuser added to the bottom enhances its road presence.

16-Speaker Audio System 

The BE 6 has a modern as well as tech-loaded cabin; it comes with two 12.3-inch touchscreens, including one for occupant infotainment and the latter as a driving display for the digital instrument cluster. The 5G connectivity is available and also features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. To ensure best performance, it comes with the advanced MAIA AI system. 

The top trim also gets an HUD that shows the driving data on the windscreen, giving a smart and smooth driving experience, and ventilated and powered seats for better comfort and practicality. It gets a panoramic glass roof, a wireless mobile charging pad, double-zone climate control, and rear AC vents. 

It features a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, a digital key for locking and unlocking via phone, and a voice assistant to give commands. It gets multiple airbags, a 360° camera and sensor and Level 2 ADAS featuring automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

7.6 Seconds 0-100 km/h Acceleration Timing 

The BE 6 is an all-electric vehicle that runs through a motor and battery. It gets a PMS motor that is mounted on a rear axle featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain. It comes with two lithium-ion battery packs, 59 kWh and 79 kWh, generating the power of 228 bhp and 282 bhp, respectively. The peak torque for both battery packs is 380 Nm.

The standard battery pack has an ARAI-certified range of 557 km, and the same for larger battery packs is 683 km. The acceleration timing for all variants is 6.7 seconds, and top speed goes up to 202 km for all. The standard and larger battery pack supports DC chargers up to 140 kW and 180 kW, respectively, which takes 20 minutes for a 20-80% charge.
