Mahindra & Mahindra will introduce multiple electric vehicles in the Indian market in the next few years. The most recent launch from the automaker is XEV 9S. The adoption of electric cars in India has already taken place; now people are preferring EVs over ICE vehicles.

Seeing the increasing popularity of electric cars in India, the automaker has planned to launch a new electric car to stay competitive. The electric vehicles which Mahindra & Mahindra will introduce in the next two to three years are BE 6 Rall-E, BE 7, Thar.e, and BE 9.

Mahindra BE 6 Rall-E

It is a rugged version of BE 6. The automaker hasn't confirmed any date for its launch, but it is expected that the company may introduce it to the Indian market in late 2026. It is based on the INGLO platform, will come with two motors, one on the front and the other on the rear axle, featuring an all-wheel drive configuration, and the transmission is set to single-speed automatic.

In terms of look, it is quite aggressive and rugged. Up front it has a modern grill, sleek daylight running lights, and projector LED headlamps. On the sides, it gets large alloy wheels with cladding, and its rear gets a sharp design which makes it recognisable even in city traffic. The spacious cabin will get multiple touchscreens and smart features.

Mahindra BE 7

The BE 7 is an all-electric SUV with a seating capacity of 5 people. It has recently been spied testing on the road, but the manufacturer has confirmed that it won't be introduced before 2027. In terms of length, it is longer than BE 6 and features a long wheelbase so rear-seating passengers get good legroom and stay comfortable during the journey.

It gets a coupe-like SUV stance that includes a sharply raked windscreen and thick C-pillar; the lighting setup is expected to be simpler than shown in the concept. On the sides, it will have ORVMs instead of cameras. Spy shots have confirmed that it will have flush-type door handles, large alloy wheels, a closed-off grill and a flat roofline for modernity.

Mahindra Thar.e

The Thar.e from Mahindra & Mahindra will arrive in the Indian market after 2027; it is officially confirmed. It is set to be based on the INGLO-P1 skateboard platform, which will feature a double motor and large battery. It will come with an all-wheel drive configuration and single-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior features a body and rugged look; it will come with five doors for better practicality, large alloy wheels for better efficiency, and high ground clearance. The interior will get a digital instrument cluster, a large-screen infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, ventilated seats, and a powered seat with ventilation.

Mahindra BE 9

The BE is going to be the flagship coupé-SUV from Mahindra & Mahindra that is based on the INGLO platform. It may be available in the Indian market in 2028 with a starting price of ₹30 lakh. It is likely to come in two drivetrains, which are RWD and AWD with single-motor and double-motor setups, respectively. It may come with a battery pack of 60-80 kWh.

As shown in the concept, up front, it gets a full-width LED light bar, giving it a modern look. The sharp edges and flat nose make it aggressive. On the sides, it gets a coupe-like roofline, large aerodynamic wheels, and flush door handles for better aerodynamics.
